Pre-launch review draft — September 17, 2026. Owner approval, retention decisions and a final hosting/analytics review are required before public launch.
Who operates this website
Barefoot Hawaii is operated by Trouble Free Employees LLC. Contact support@trouble-free-employees.com with privacy questions or requests to access, correct or delete your information. We may need to verify that a request concerns your own account.
Information used by the directory
- Partner accounts: account and profile details you provide, your Viator PID/MCID pair, category preferences and referral links. Do not provide a Viator password or API key through the portal.
- Correction reports: the local page address, your description and an optional reply email. Reports are stored in a private administrator inbox and sent to our support address. Query strings and fragments are removed from the reported page address. No attachments are accepted.
- Trip planning: preferences, tentative dates and favorites are stored in your browser for the activity finder. “Remember” may retain this information between visits. Use the planner’s clear control or clear this site’s browser storage to remove it. A saved activity is not a booking.
- Security and operations: our hosting and service providers process technical information needed to deliver, protect and troubleshoot the website. Application rate limits use a hashed identifier derived from connection information rather than storing a raw IP in the rate-limit record.
- Booking-link records: the routing component records limited click details, including the activity and attribution mode. Its click log deliberately omits raw IP addresses, email addresses, browser user agents and referral-cookie values.
Cookies and browser storage
WordPress uses cookies for sign-in and account sessions. A signed first-party referral cookie lets the directory recognize an eligible referring affiliate and apply their category choices and Viator identifiers. Clearing or blocking cookies may remove that referral context. The activity planner also uses session storage and optional persistent browser storage. Third-party websites may use their own cookies under their own policies.
External providers and links
Hosting, email and other configured service providers may process information to operate the site. When you follow a Viator booking link, Viator receives the product address and affiliate tracking parameters and processes your visit and booking under its own policy. Vendor, Yelp, TripAdvisor, Facebook and other external links lead to separate services. Embedded third-party content, if displayed, may contact its provider when loaded. Check that provider’s terms and privacy information.
Why information is used
We use information to provide accounts and referral tools, remember trip-planning choices, route booking links, review corrections, respond to requests, protect the site and maintain records needed to operate the service. The correction form is not an emergency or booking-support channel.
Retention and your choices
Account and report information is retained while needed to operate the service, address requests and meet applicable obligations. The click-log cleanup period is configurable. Final retention periods, backup retention and any analytics settings must be confirmed before this draft is approved for launch. You may request access, correction or deletion through the support address. Some information may need to be retained for security, legal obligations or backup integrity.
Updates
We will update this page when the site’s practices change. Review the date at the top for the current version. Read the Terms of Use for information about bookings and external operators.
